Materials

Chosen with Intention.

What matters most is not only how a material looks at the moment of creation, but how it behaves in real life—how it ages, what meaning it holds and how it becomes part of someone’s daily ritual.

This philosophy guides every decision we make, from the first sketch to the final polish.

Natural Gemstones

Natural gemstones sit at the centre of our work. Each is earth-mined and distinct; colour, inclusions and texture vary from stone to stone.

We select for the qualities that strengthen the design—whether that is unusual colour saturation, a particular cut or the character visible within the crystal. These natural differences are not flaws; they are part of the material.

A Stone Library Built Over Time

Since 2015, we have worked within the gemstone trade, sourcing and evaluating stones long before they enter a collection. This has resulted in a deep and evolving gemstone library, as well as long-standing relationships with trusted suppliers.

Some designs begin with a stone already in our archive. Others require a dedicated search defined by colour, origin, size or cut. In both cases, the gemstone informs and refines the design direction.

Signature Gold Colour

Across both our 18k solid gold and 18k vermeil, we use a custom-mixed gold tone developed by Monica. This signature colour is a warmer champagne gold, designed to sit naturally against a wide range of skin tones.

It is intentionally distinct—softer, more luminous and not found elsewhere in the market. This tone has become part of our visual identity, unifying all collections regardless of material category.

18k Solid Gold

Our personalised series, custom and bespoke pieces are created exclusively in 18k solid gold. We choose 18k for its balance of strength, richness and heritage—gold that is made to endure and be passed on.

We believe in the material depth and permanence of solid gold for pieces that carry personal meaning. These are not seasonal objects, but future heirlooms.

18k Gold Vermeil

(Prêt-à-Porter Collection)

Our 18k gold vermeil forms our prêt-à-porter collection, allowing for bolder, more expressive demi-high jewellery pieces at accessible price points.

We use a substantial layer of 18k gold over recycled sterling silver (2.5 micron or more)—never brass/copper—creating a precious-metal foundation with a refined finish. This approach allows us to explore scale, volume and statement design while maintaining material integrity.
