Gold vermeil is a technique rooted in tradition: a thick layer of 18ct gold bonded over sterling silver, using time-honored methods. Unlike standard plating, vermeil offers lasting finish and depth of tone—without compromising the integrity of the base metal. At Stellar & Monique, we use a custom gold alloy with a warmer hue—designed to flatter all skin tones and echo the quiet richness of antique gold. It’s a finish that feels both refined and personal. Vermeil allows us to work with precious metals in a way that’s considered, enduring, and true to our aesthetic values.
Natural Gemstones
We work exclusively with earth-mined, natural gemstones—each one formed over time, shaped by nature, and inherently one of a kind. While lab-grown stones are often marketed as a sustainable alternative, the reality is more complex. Their production carries its own environmental footprint, and the integrity of a gem, for us, lies in its natural origin. By sourcing old-stock rough from trusted partners, we’re able to work with ethically mined material from decades past—honoring the rarity of these stones without contributing to new extraction. It’s a considered choice, rooted in respect for both the craft and the earth.
