Measure your finger
What You'll Need:
- A piece of string or a thin strip of paper
- A ruler
- A pen or marker
Steps:
1. Prepare a Strip of Paper or String
Cut a thin strip approximately 3 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. If using a string, choose one that doesn’t stretch to ensure accuracy.
2. Wrap Around Your Finger
Gently wrap the strip around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring. It should feel snug, but not tight—you should be able to slide it over your knuckle without discomfort.
3. Mark the Overlap
Use a fine-tip pen or pencil to mark the spot where the strip overlaps, creating a full circle around your finger.
4. Measure the Length
Lay the strip flat against a ruler and measure from the starting edge to your marked point in millimetres.
5. Find Your Size
Refer to a ring size chart to convert your measurement into a standard ring size. Most charts will list sizes by inside circumference or diameter in millimetres.
